Responsibilities

  • Oversee the cafe’s day-to-day running, if you will.
  • Recruting and training new waiters and baristas
  • Inform workers how to make coffee and other drinks properly.
  • Order necessary items and coordinate with suppliers (like takeaway cups, coffee, milk and other ingredients)
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date financial records on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Change the menu to reflect the seasons and consumer tastes (for example vegan coffee drinks)
  • Instruct workers on how to effectively address customer complaints and exceed expectations for service.
  • Keep the cafe neat and clean.
  • Develop cordial ties with clients in an effort to raise satisfaction levels and brand awareness.

Skills, requirements

  • Barista or Cafe Manager Background
  • Real-world training with industrial coffee roasters
  • Possessing solid mathematical abilities
  • Availability during normal business hours (including weekends and holidays)
  • Superb interpersonal abilities and the leadership qualities to inspire and direct a group.
  • Approach to Serving Customers
  • Obtaining one’s GED
  • Any additional credentials (in business administration or hospitality, for example) are very desirable.
